More desirable based on what!? If we look at 3DS numbers, SM3DL and MK7 are selling at roughly the same clip. Even if SSB4 was more desirable, it's sales are gonna be split with the 3DS.

And as my last post implied, you're gonna have to explain how the Wii U is different from it's predecessors and how the difference is somehow gonna allow Wii U's potential console sellers to actually sell consoles for once (despite some already failing to do so).

Mario Kart Wii sold 3 times as much as Mario Galaxy. (And that was itself a far more desirable game than 3D World) Smash outsold Galaxy also.

Wii U started off more expensive than prior systems; as a result it will take longer to reach its stride.

Mario Kart Wii sold uber well because of motion controls/Wii Wheel, but those have now lost their appeal. Also, seeing as 3DLand is enroute to match or even outsell Galaxy despite the lesser install base, I have to doubt the series is any less desirable, now stop baselessly throwing that term around already!
Also, Brawl sold just a million more than Galaxy so they're still in the same tier saleswise, but again, SSB4 is going multiplatform.

EDIT: Oops skipped the last part! So with both SSB4 and MK8 releasing this year, the latter of which likely being the biggest game that ever comes to Wii U saleswise, this is definitely going to be the systems peak year, meaning it can only do worse every year following.
