Are the nintendo classic games so well rated, because we had lower standards back in the day?

It was a rare occurance when a game was released?  Uhhhhhh... there were about 800 of them released on the NES which was active for about 6 years.  So that's about 110 per year, or about one every 3-4 days.  Not as many as today, but hardly a rare occurence.
