A ban on guns is absolutely stupid.
The first thing any dictatorship does is remove the people's capability to protect itself.
Gun ownership is not the problem. People who commit crimes are not legal gun owners who are part of NRA, etc. They are people who bought their guns illegally (a process that would only grow if a full ban was allowed) and/or have mental conditions where they should have been in a hospital treatment of some kind.
I'd rather see a ban on chemically created, toxic fast food that causes far more american lives than anything else before the removal of a very purposeful and intelligent constitutional right.
