Sony fans haven't wished doom on Nintendo. They've just done so poorly this gen (partially because they alienated a lot of people last gen, partially because "the games" that people keep bringing up (Smash, MK8, etc), people don't care enough to buy the system for (see Gamecube and N64)) that "doom" is just a gut reaction. Nobody wants Nintendo to fail, but if they don't get their act together, failure will happen, so the "doom" coming from supposed Sony fans is more reactive than proactive.
Regarding MS, EVERYONE has jumped on them, and that's their own fault. All that buffoonery with DRM and needing to always be online, jacking up the price of the XBone with a Kinect that no one wants...we know where their intentions are: screwing us. And we (read: all of us, not just Sony fans) don't like it.
