I am just applauding IP creation and strong partner relationships in creating games. I also love how Sony much like Nintendo works in tandem with other companies to make games unlike Microsoft who just pays them and lets it end there (which is why Ryse turned out the way it did). Someone needs to babysit Crytek.

Really? I mean, do you work for one of these companies? How in the world would you know the extent of MS or Sony or Nintendo's involvement in the creation of the games they pay for? You're just talking out of your butt. Also, hilarious to see you throw Ryse under the bus, as if Sony or Nintendo have never put out a game that wasn't critically acclaimed. Remind me, who has the lowest rated 1st party exclusive so far this gen? Isn't it Knack? So what happened there, did someone from Sony not "baby sit" their own studio while making that game? What about SOCOM 4? Maybe they should have "baby sat" Zipper instead of "working in tandem" with them to release a garbage game and then shut them down. What an amazing partnership!

Or, if you prefer 2nd party games, maybe Lair? Did Sony forget to check in on Factor 5? Apparently so :(

You can hate all you want, but Sonys reasons for dropping people is financial. Guess who loves to pick up Sonys pieces when they fall though? You're so right, Microsoft. Who? Insomniac left making second party for Sony and EA? Lets get em! What? Sony workers left again from SSM? Lets bag em'.

Microsoft has far more respect for Sonys level of creativity than you do it seems.

Lets see how many Microsoft workers Sony tries to bag. ::Cricket, cricket::

Who is hating? I simply asked a question. Insomniac isn't a Sony studio. I could also say Sony sure was quick to latch onto Bungie after they "left" the MS world in terms of exclusive games, but I won't, because that's stupid. Companies work with various companies. When developers are laid off, other publishers and developers scoop them up. I'd love to have an answer for Sony scooping up MS devs but to be honest MS is in the studio openening business right now, Sony seems to be the only one cutting the cord on these "great partnerships". I honestly don't even remember the last studio MS closed or where they ended up.

Also seems weird that after what, almost 20 years of work with Insomniac, Sony would just let them go? You're trying to paint this rosy picture on one hand but with the other you're kind of smearing feces all over it.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Xbox One, but its greatness lies on the shoulders of non-Microsoft companies, such as EA, Double Helix and Capcom and yes Forza is good on its own merit(The one of the same four games Microsoft pumps out).  Sony, however, lets the chips fall where they may with Killzone, Knack and InFamous, but at least they can say those games belonged to them and those aren't even their hottest titles. Those are their cannon-fodder until Uncharted, God of War, Last of Us 2, The Order, Little Big Planet, and even moooooooore NEW IP's come out. Theres just more levels expectation. I expect Microsoft to depend on others full-time compared to their own in-home companies and both consoles are loads of fun. Trust me, I like the Xbox One more right now, but I know better with Microsoft . Whats that word again that based on peoples unique way behaving? Oh yeah, Idiosyncracies. When you know a brand so well based on their actions that they just keep doing it and become known for it?

Also, when the hell is Fulgore coming out for Killer instinct? Come on...please have mercy, Microsoft. Bless them for reinvesting in Killer Instinct though because it is such a good franchise, but its growth as a DLC based game is just ridiculous. Microsoft does know how to pick out partners though and I cannot wait for Gears of Wars now that its first party, but this company replacing Double Helix better be good. This is what I am talking about with non-first party for first party games. It becomes a risky occurance rather than rewarding for fans who are expecting timely content when another company buys the team you're dependent on. Luckily for me with Microsofts way of doing business I can expect that content to come. I am not saying creativity cannot be found with the Xbox brand...far from it, but what I am saying it I (me, myself) expect it from their partners rather than Microsoft.

Sony and MS both rely heavily on 3rd party games. You can tout their 1st party offerings all you want, but take a gander at the top 10 PS3 titles. Only one is a Sony IP, the rest are 3rd party. Even if you want to throw them a bone and extend it to top 20, it's only 3 or 4 games from Sony. Microsoft has them beat whether you do top 10 or top 20. Of course, neither holds a candle to Nintendo when it comes to 1st party strength, which makes your constant crapping on MS all the funnier. Don't get me wrong, I love my PS3, but its greatness lies on the backs of Rockstar and EA and Ubisoft and Activision and 2k. See how that works? Hope that helped, not going to respond again. I'm sure you'll have some classic material about timed exclusives and American greed zzzz

Um...comparing the amount and quality of first party that comes out of Sony and Microsoft is really sad. You have to be in denial, bro. Whatever you like is subjective, but the amount they are pumping out shouldnt be denied. Microsoft has admitted the put out less for reasons. Yes, both are great partners with third parties, but one company increased their first party when the other threatened their domination with exclusive third party. Self sufficience. Microsoft is still dependent, hence why they HAD to buy Gears and drop their new IP.
