To be honest.. Facebook has nothing like a distribution channel and customer support service but so did google a few years back and even MS before their own hardware devices with Zune and Xbox.. They know they have to evolve as a company cause social isn't a social anymore.. Zuckerberg thinks he can do it the Amazon way.. sell a product a cost and get the return through their services.. I think it would be great for a product like OR not to worry about day 1 profits and it should be a great advantage (together with the exposure) over the Sony VR system..
