On the other hand, I can see where this would be a good thing. I can see this being a good move. I would buy an xbox like this, depending on how much freedom I have with my digital purchases.

Yes. I would buy an x1 for 400$ and control over my digital purchases with kinect....and I think there are a massive amount of people who would as well.
