I don't think it will happen, at least not as quickly as you are suggesting. Too many regions in the world have crappy internet. I think they learned that they need to wait a few years before the world is ready for all digital. I don't think microsoft will really toy around with a disc less hardware option until possibly late in the gen. That will be the final remodel in preperation for a new gen where they will finally be able to do their digital era.
