We just got a new cat too, and took us just as long to name it. My mom was on us to name the thing but the harder we tried the more the suggestions sucked. For us, the trick was to stop thinking about it and just let it happen. One night my brother and I were talking about some video game we used to play and out of nowhere he's like "Zoe." I was like, "...What?" "The cat's name, Zoe." "Hm... Zoe. Pretty good............. OK the cat's name is Zoe." Done.
For you... my Grandma used to have a cat named Chaz that sounds like yours. You could also name her Taz (Tazzy, for a femenine sound) as in Tazmanian Devil. Or call her Dummy or Stupid, which is what I end up calling all our cats regardless of their names.
