yeesh, I just couldn't play online tonight. The button lag was driving me nuts. Not the stuttering kind of lag, the delay from pressing something and it happening. It takes away so much precision and timing when you can't do moves when you want to. I could literally watch somebody drop from above, start to attack, continue to move down, and hit me without being able to block it because the block would come half a second later than I wanted it to. Or input a command, for instance block and dodge backwards, nothing would happen immediately, so I do it again and then dodge backwards twice putting me much farther away.
Without precision timing it just comes off as button mashing. Not all matches are like that of course, and usually it doesn't bother me too much, but tonight I was just pulling out my hair trying to do very basic things. When you can see something coming, or an opportunity to attack and are powerless to do anything about it, it just get's frustrating.
