What do all of them have in common? Sequels to games I absolutely adored (Tiberian Sun; Crash Team Racing; Final Fantasy IX; Year of the Dragon; SSX 3; Melee & Wip3out respectively). And all of them nowhere near as good as the game that came before them. Massive, massive disappointments. |
Man, I'm with you there. But to be fair, it is kind of hard to top SSX3. So good.
Other disappointing games are:
Megaman X 5,6,7 (haven't played 8). X4 was awesome, introducing the voice acting to the series with anime cutscenes. I wish they had continued with that in X5 and 6 minus the girlie x voice. X7 was lousy. it did not feel like a megaman x game with the 3d boss battles that weren't done very well...
Zelda Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks... My favourite series ever, but I just hated almost everything about both of these titles.
Tastunoko Vs Capcom... why couldn't they have had english voice overs and kept the cutscenes.
Donkey Kong Barrel Blast... Man I thought it would have been fun but the controls were just terrible.
Mario and Sonic at the 2014 olympics - first game I played in the series... I don't know why I just went into it with great expectations.
