I know the SP is 1080p, that's why I said MP. The MP is not 1080p. Or, if you want to talk semantics, it's not native 1080p. It tries to simulate a native 1080p image without pushing the pixels of a native 1080p image. And it does so using a technique that blurs the hell out of the screen when you move, which defeats the whole purpose of 1080p anyway. Either way, that was not the point. The point was lots of people praised the game and used its native 1080p60 MP bullet point as ammo for console wars, and these very people had no idea that the MP was neither 1080p or 60 frames per second. So what have we learned? Either the people making such a big deal about 1080p are full of bulsh, or most people cannot even tell the difference. Or, as a bonus, maybe both? 1080p games existed last gen, so there hasn't been any resolution increase yet, no matter which console you buy. I guess we'll finally enter next gen when 4K games start coming out. Until then lets wallow in our current stop gap gen technology :( |
Did you stop reading after one sentence I posted? And first off, everyone knew that the mp wasn't 60 fps. It was just unlocked and was usuaually in the ballpark of 60fps. Here's the guerrilla response,

The reason people made such a big deal out of it was because they knew they could. If a problem isn't fixed seconds after what happens, that's what they'll believe. I bet if there were a similar thing with xbox games xbox fans would praise MS for their enginuity... oh wait,, they did. It's called tiled resources. They're not exactly the same at all, but they're both similar hat tricks. And I'm not saying either are bad, I'm saying the double standard annoys me. Would I rather have "full" 1080p? Yes, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
