Not exactly a new point of view, this. Pretty sure Nintendo got the message, cause the game sold badly.
However I'd like to voice a minority opinion: There are people who don't enjoy depressing first person shooters, and for those Other M was the most fun they've had to date with a Metroid game.
But I do understand some of the criticism. The sappy story bits were too much, and gameplay could have been more deep, had they not limited controls to the sideways Wiimote.
