You could be right but I think VR is a high risk project. The reaction from gamers has been great but even Ouya created a buzz but failed to make any sort of impact.
Sometimes you need a company with more money, resources and know how to get the product off the ground. If OR isn't carefull it might end up obsolete within years.
What I'm saying is that OR could be worth more to another company, if MS for example came in with a $100M offer it might be to hard to refuse. $100M buy out would take out the risk from the OR guys and be good profit to them while also good value to MS that has the resources to make that $100M investment work.
It's not out of the question for OR to be bought by MS but it all depends how far along MS's VR project is along and if MS are desperate to get in the VR race sooner rather than later.
