Is Samus Aran the last Metroid? (Possible Metroid V plot?)

Nah, they could just say there were a few Metroids kept secret in some science laboratory or something. Or that they spread to another planet or infiltrated some spaceship before Samus destroyed them all. Or Metroids from an alternate universe will come. They'll think of something.

Also, doesn't Samus have Chozo DNA as well? A Chozo/Metroid hybrid, now that would be cool.
