Swiftkey has been doing that for years and I love it. So who gives a shit?

I do because I value my privacy more than my phone's ability to correct an insignificant amount of more words correctly.

and I say unless you are doing something illegal, you have obsolutely nothing to fear, I don't even give a shit about the NSA doing whatever it is that they do because I'm not afraid .

I'm not afraid either but just because it's not directly harmful does not mean it's somehow 'right' or not harmful in some indirect way. No goverment or other third party should know my private things unless there's good reason for them to know it, and I think that alone is a fairly reasonable expectation. But you want more? Well, having the technical capability to spy on people opens up easy possibility for abuse of the system, and while it's not a problem now, no one guarantees it won't be a problem tomorrow. Politics can be quite unexpected at times, especially at harsh times (see Ukraine). Any and all ways to abuse the system should be avoided/eliminated ASAP because it's too late to cry when things go wrong. It's not just unconvenience we're talking about here, it's democracy itself.

Also, I wouldn't want a camera or several in my apartment even if I knew they were being monitored mainly by machines but occassionally by humans as well if need be - and at this rate, it won't take very many decades before we're at that point. First it'll be your door to 'keep you safe', then your apartment because criminals are crafty folk and tighter measures need to be taken to 'keep you safe'. At that point, it could really go just about anywhere.
