Wii Wheeling to 9999VR is one of my greatest achievements in my gaming career.

Well, I did it first with the Wii Remote/Nunchuck about 6-8 months after launch because I was more comfortable with those controls. After I got too good and got bored, I switched things up and tried the Wii Wheel. Kind of cluncky at first, but once I got the controls down and practiced, it took me another 6-8 months to get to the top again.

I don't play as often, but now I only do offline using Wii Wheel, Karts only, hardest difficulty, and aggressive items.

I plan a similar path with Mario Kart 8.

Noice! I've had MK7 for over a year now but only have 35k VR. Then again I swapped SD cards and my previous file had 20k VR, but even still that's only halfway!
