Only problem is that they would get bought out long before 2052 if they started making losses.

Bought out by whom?  Didn't you see they are already buying back their own shares?

Could be anyone. Microsoft, Apple, Google or maybe even a rich Nintendo fanboy, who knows.

If they are buying back their own shares that makes the job easier for potential buyers, more shares in one place.

That assumes Nintendo would sell them.   If Nintendo owns enough shares, they can go independent again.  Meaning no possiblity for buyout.  A company doesn't buy back their own shares if they plan on selling to someone else because they'd lose money.

Besides, if a rich Nintendo fanboy can buy them out, doesn't that just reason that they could buy theirselves out and become a private company again?
