That's a great deal, but I think I'll pass. I'm probably getting WiiU before PS4/XB1. I get to play them all I want already, and have PC for the games I like, so the WiiU has exclusives that are more vibrantly unique and completely different from everything on PC (arguably some indie games have decent platforming, but Nintendo has it gold in that area honestly).

I'm sure there will be outstanding games coming, and for many, Second Son will be one of them. It's just not my cup of tea.

Titanfall is also a miss for me. I regret spending the cash on it. I run it at 2560x1600, but it just feels a bit stale and old, and it looks fairly terrible even with everything on max detail. I get the feeling it was rushed, a lot of the textures look like placeholders while they waited for the assets to be completed, while other details are a lot better, so that makes it a jarring mix of decent vs. horribad details. I smell Microsoft and EA's meddling in there quite a bit.

However, it seems promising, so Titanfall 2 could be super epic. Say 10v10, and add in mini-titans and super titans (1/4 scale and 3/1 scale respectively, with dual-cockpit for the mega titans). Hire another outfit to do an epic story, and don't rush it out. Put that on a competent engine, and it'd be a 11/10 from me instead of a 6.5/10 (most of the points for the promise of the game vs. the reality).

Back to Second Son, I have to say the graphics look superb. Easily the best looking next-gen console game to date imho, and it helps that it looks well thought out with some decent variety. Ryse was pretty in some respects, but garbage as a game.

It's nice when everything comes together. Titanfall is kind of fun to a point, but repetitive and pretty ugly to look at. Killzone is pretty but disappointing in most respects. Forza is a step backwards for the franchise, and included some steep downgrades to hit 1080p. Knack is well, not what it could have been to put it kindly. And the plethora of cross-gen ports are honestly the best overall games so far otherwise. And for that, ISS gets a nod from me if it is a solid 8.5/10 true next-gen title.
