| Cheebee said: As for your point about cheap Vita games compared to expensive 3DS games (anecdotal as it is; I bought ACIV on WiiU for $15 new 2 days ago), well that proves my point, as Vita is pretty much a commercial failure, and 3DS is the bestselling gaming system of the 8th gen. Hence the difference in their respective software prices. |
Yes, but my point is that out of all the games released on vita, I'm sure quite a few have outsold some 3ds games that sold very badly. I use this site http://www.gamecrawler.co.uk/ to check prices and whenever I look up a game for 3ds, no matter how popular or niche it is, it is (almost) never below £10 or at least £15. Conversely, quite a few vita games that have sold quite well or sold terribly are dirt cheap. Same goes with ps3 games. All I have to do, living in the uk, is wait a few months for the price to go down. With most 3ds games that I look up, this hardly ever happens (to acceptable levels for me). I'm thinking that Sony and MS are encouraging 3d parties to put their games on sale, while Ninty has a different approach. And judging based on the weekly UK charts, 3ds games aren't doing that well. Yet I don't see them getting the discounts I've been hoping them to get. I'm only bringing this point up because I find it quite frustrating as a 3ds owner.
