If they can manage that enough people will try it out to understand how awesome it is they have the chance to succeed with VR headsets (not only Sony), if they can't manage to get it in enough peoples hands I am sceptical since you already see it in gaming forums that many who never tried at least the first Oculus don't really understand it or understand it but don't have the imagination to realize how great that feeling is when you try it out.
Sure, there will be always also many who just don't like it but I think most who don't like it yet are people who never tried it out and most who tried it out love it even with the "bad" first Oculus.
