Do people realize it's almost impossible to kill a douopoly console? (SONY/MS/XBox One)

In both cases your guys are not going to get him to agree or even to refute with logical evidence the idea that both Game Cube and Xbox are pretty close in any success meter. Despite their close HW sales, SW sales or even the fact that melee sold almost as much as Halo 2.

I already did move on ... The fact that he couldn't counter that the original xbox was as big as a failure as gamecube just goes to show that he's pretty much locked up in denial about it and does nothing to address the point and instead goes on to make an unrelated argument about how halo 2 had a shit ton of importance to gaming. 

It did but your too young to realize it since you where still in elementary school when it got released and you live on the wrong side of the pond, probably in some small village where most things seem irrelavant.
