why?  i don't particularly care for Cars either but that franchise makes MEGA money, even 8 years later.  he's doing what any sensible CEO would do with a property like that.


Pixar is doing more and more sequels. As a studio their selling out. Pixar was all about originality in the past, they only did sequels when they had a "good idea". Now their making sequels, just cause. 

Don't get me wrong, I understand everyone wants money (I would also like to see an Incredibles sequel), its just that Pixar was able to make original films and sell them, they didn't need and didn't rely on sequels to make a profit (The Toy Story trilogy aside), unlike Dreamworks. 

I guess I'll just have to make the best of this situation. Hope the sequels are good.
