I beg to differ. Porn and Disney were the deciding factors for BluRay dominance in my opinion. I'm sure there were many others but those two def made a difference.

 It really isnt the same thing. To be relevant in the games market, it needs to sell software. And last i checked this isnt the porn industry. The thing isnt just a medium where to store data.
