I don't know about you, but I usually play sinple player games alone. My wife and kids aren't particularly interested in watching me play Dark souls, Skyrim or whatever. I see it as a second screen to play on while someone else can use the tv. Currently I have to go to a different room to do that.
And yes it will be expensive, it's a wearable 3D tv with headtracking. Bit more advanced than a viewmaster.

Nope. It's me and a gaggle of people. I'm a single male and tend to live with guys or girls whom are single too and tend to share gaming as a habit so they are interested to see me play my goofy games and vice versa. Although with so many hours logged I generally do have to take Dragon's Dogma to my own room lol.
Being so expensive it just can't really break into mainstream. Not that I don't think it will have compelling experiences. I'm sure Silent Hill or Killer 7 or the like would be a rather immersive experiences that way. It's just one that isn't so suitable in my context of 'single player' gaming.

You're not part of the new market yet, the middle-aged gamer. I think VR is less suited for treadmill running twitch fps games, that will get old fast. But disappearing for a little while into a Myst like game could become very popular. And Dark souls please.
