The fact that it will be expensive as hell helps that notion a lot. I mean 4-500 for a console that would work with it. Do you think they will be letting their headgear with two expensive HD panels go for anything less than 2-300? I don't see it. So 6-800. Those are PS3 launch prices and I see consoles cheaper getting ignored... Well I guess 3D sold some TVs lol.

I don't know about you, but I usually play sinple player games alone. My wife and kids aren't particularly interested in watching me play Dark souls, Skyrim or whatever. I see it as a second screen to play on while someone else can use the tv. Currently I have to go to a different room to do that.

And yes it will be expensive, it's a wearable 3D tv with headtracking. Bit more advanced than a viewmaster.

Nope. It's me and a gaggle of people.  I'm a single male and tend to live with guys or girls whom are single too and tend to share gaming as a habit so they are interested to see me play my goofy games and vice versa.  Although with so many hours logged I generally do have to take Dragon's Dogma to my own room lol. 

Being so expensive it just can't really  break into mainstream.  Not that I don't think it will have compelling experiences. I'm sure Silent Hill or Killer 7 or the like would be a rather immersive experiences that way. It's just one that isn't so suitable in my context of 'single player' gaming.
