Most wii u owners never cared for gta v. They will if the game is announced to it... like every normal person. And personally I think Watch Dogs will be a lot better than gta, but if doesn't come out at the same time as the other platforms is gonna sell like crap on wii u. I guess Ubisoft is looking for a excuse in order to drop the support.
