It is a 1080p image, they're just constructing it from 3 different images in the framebuffer(I think it's in the frame buffer, if Joe would like to correct me here) to fill in the missing image.  Those 3 images are rendering different parts and are combined with prediction of what's going to be next  to create the final image.  There's not one pixel being stretched to the next which is the opposite of what's happening on the One, unless stated otherwise (Which I haven't read any dev say otherwise for 90% of One games).  

Yeah, not native 1080p and they didn't bother using that technique in the campaign for a reason. Don't waste your time trying to convince me.
