That's... not really how the burden of proof should work in this situation.
If someone is claiming that one game sold more, they should show how much the first game sold across all metrics; then how much the second game sold, and then show which one had the bigger number.
If you're missing the data for one of those metrics, then you can't do any more than draw assumptions. No matter how obvious it may seem.
