They wouldn't merge, that wouldn't make any sense. Microsoft is just too big. However, if the rumors that some in Microsoft want to spin off Xbox are true and come to fruition, then a merger of the Xbox spin-off and Nintendo would make a lot of sense and would probably crush everything. They'd be able to cater to every gaming taste and audience even better than Sony, support multiple systems to give different hardware options, and be the very best at marketing like no one ever was.
