I've tesed other sized, I get the best constant visual of the entire screen with 24 to 26 inches without loosing so much size to miss details I need to see.
Thats for gaming. as for media I watch everything on my 15 inch macbook. I used to download everything at 1080p but those files eat away and disk space real fast. I tested side by side images of the same media in 1080 and 720 with a few different media playing software pausing at certain areas. The jump from 480 to 720 is obvious, the jump from 720 to 1080 is comprehensivley non existant. What I did notice was my disk space freeing up as I deleted all my 1080p crap and replaced it with 720p versions. |
24ish inch is the best as far as your gaming performance but as far as graphics I would say a 32" is the best. But yes I can see how the jump from 720p to 1080p is not that noticeable on a 24" tv
There is a large difference in 1080p vs 720p video files that are properly encoded. Does your Macbook have a 1080p display? But I do agree with you on disk space and I generally get 720p too. 1080p does look quite a bit greater than 720p but is it worth hogging space? Nope
