Not really. As I get it, the vast majority still doesn't understand the hype, and it's the very moment when people try it out for the first time that they get enlightened.
Seriously, just about everyone I've talked to about the Oculus Rift who's actually tried it described the experience in a kind of 9/11 way, where time is being devided into "before" and "after"...
As Henry Ford said: If I had asked my customers what they wanted, they would have said a faster horse.
