and usually those corporation are multi billion dollar corporations. Sony has a long long history in imaging, 3d, and other tons of forms of technology. how much does oculus VR have? are you simply saying sony cant make a good product because Samsung or Apple had the upper hand lately?

No, of course not. This is just based off what I read about Oculus and all the effort put in this amazing project, especially the guys who work at the project and the experiences I heard about it. And we don't know how much Sony spend in this technology, although of course they are quite a big player.
