Business is business. If that's what they feel like they need to do, I'm not going to be mad. I just probably wouldn't buy it.
As to your scenerio. XBOne is probably going to finish last and their next generation of platforms is hopefully going to be the fusion of the home and handheld platforms.... so, lets just let them take their time. No need to rush. The Wii U isn't selling at a neck-break pace, but it is selling...thousands each week.
