It's pretty strange how quickly they just... gave up. Not that I really think watered down versions of COD and Assassin's Creed are the way to go, especially since western third parties have decided that handheldz r doooooooooooomd. My feeling is that western handheld fans lean a little more toward Japanese games, anyway, so it would have been smart of Sony to bug those publishers for some modest investments in big name franchises early on, like Resident Evil: Mercenaries or Metal Gear Ac!d 3.
