I'm no console fanboy and own a wii u, intend to buy ps4 in the near future and an xbox one too later when much cheaper.

The point I would make is the ps4 is a world console and will deliver a wider range of games from more diverse developers. It has already moved into pole position this generation and so developers know they have a viable platform to develop for. Not only that its the most powerful console of this generation. These two things together make a huge plus for the ps4. Developers love working with the best hardware and they have the commercial reasons to do so. This makes the ps4 the safe bet this generation. This is a message that isn't clearly understood by all consumers but its the undercurrent of what is happening this generation.

Can Microsoft fight back? Well in Europe its cleanly gone the ps4 route in mainland europe with only the UK really buying xbone in serious numbers. If you remove UK from the european figures the ps4 is massively dominating in mainland Europe. In Japan and most of asia we know xbone doesn't stand a chance. Can xbone survive as mainly a USA console I don't think so. Are Microsoft willing to go below PS4 pricing so they can fight back in Europe and dominate in the USA I'm not sure. The momentum currently is still very much with ps4 it the pricing ratio stays as is.
