I don't think it will be big based on that. But they are indeed interested in "VR" devices, and they clearly want to make hardware for it(and that's what they do best).
So they may go VR for gaming, we shall just wait and see.
(BTW, it's not VR, it's just hering and sight simulation, the only two senses used to appreciate movies, thus it seems more efficient for movies than gaming to me)
