That's right, Nintendo is the new EA. Take some time... let your mind process it. It's quite a hard journey to acceptance but we can do this together guys.

If you need evidence about what I am saying you just need to see the recent Nintendo news. Remember when Mario was not a yearly release? Well I do, Mario was a game that we waited with anxiety for years,It got us crazy! Nowadays we have one per year! Just like some EA franchises.

Not only that but Nintendo is embracing DLC in their games, something that some years ago would have been considered heresy...

And you know how EA is an evil company right? Well Nintendo isn't too far behind in evil practices... if you need proof, come and read this: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=178963&page=1#

Even Maelstrom agrees with this and he already did an article about it, what further proof do you need guys?

I know what you are all thinking now, you are all in the "denial" phase. Don't worry I'm already at phase 4... depression. It's a long road but you'll get where I am in no time.

EDIT: I am posting the Maelstrom article for everyone to see. He makes some good points. http://seanmalstrom.wordpress.com/2014/03/02/nintendo-x-ea-or-why-nintendo-will-remain-lost-in-the-wilderness/

Wow, you must have dual personality! First you praise my article, then you ostracize it, now you use it as reference?

You talk like being pro-Nintendo was some kind of disease that people deny at first. Take it easy

Nintendo's behavior has actually improved along the time. They were much worse in the 80's. I guess the DLCs and the 1-Mario-per-year practice is a normal reaction from a company that doesn't enjoy anymore the easy- business it had 2 or 3 decades ago.

In spite of these moves, Nintendo is not as greedy nowadays. They are entering in a new cycle (new facilities, HD development, etc.), which is a real challenge for them. Those bad moves may not be the bravest way to face the challenge but at least they are doing it. Well or badly, they are moving forward.

So, I would say EA is not as bad as you think and the same thing applies to the "new Nintendo". In these kind of environments (videogaming), where things grow exponentially, it is harder to have a decent performance in the current level than to champion an older one. Nintendo is finally entering in the 7th-gen-level with Wii U (please don't take me wrong, it's just the truth) and thus a new world of possibilities is opening for them. They need to embrace them. If they do it successfully, Nintendo fans will be amazed by experiencing Nintendo's quality on modern gaming.
