Best case scenario is after many, many years with the company he decided that he wanted to move on and do something else with his carrier. Sony, being grateful for all of the years of service he has given them and how much he has helped the company are sad to see him go, but are more than happy to oblige and wish him all the best in his new ventures.
Which honestly, considering how long he was with the company and that we've never heard of any interial issues between him and the company is probably the most likely scenario.
Good job spinning to make even the best case look bad though. Can't have people thinking anything possitive about the company that you don't fight for.
