Agreed. On top of that I don't really care if games are considered culture or not just if I enjoy them or not.

That's kind of like saying you like McDonald's and don't care if people in general prefer a steakhouse.

The problems are:

• Are games missing out? Could they be better? Could they also enjoy some of the highest qualities some books and movies seem to enjoy?
• Does realizing the reason for the difference help me understand the market better?

Those types of things.

No the problem is you care about those things and I don't. None of that stuff matters to me I just want to play games and enjoy them. I don't get into some deep thought about them and all that other stuff. I have other hobbies that I dedicate that sort of time to weight lifting and general IT knowledge. Those are the hobbies I would be more involved in. Gaming is just a way to blow off steam (for me) it's clearly something much more to you. Not judging one way or the other we all have to do what we love.
