Pre-ordered one before I left for Basic Combat Training and my sister shipped it to me when I was at Ft. Benning for Airborne school. Had a lot of fun playing DOA2 during my third weekend off after I got tired of off duty partying.
Oddly, I don't remember much of what I played in 2001 during my first duty station. In retrospect, the PS2/6th gen era was kind of a quiet one where I bought quite a few games, but spent more time doing video game things in real life rather than playing them in a game.
It wasn't until the PS3 came out that I got back into gaming as a hobby when my track car's engine was being rebuilt.
