Wait are you suggesting that the most iconic video game character of all time is "an old forgotten character" (if that's who I think your talking about, ya know Mario), when his best selling video game generation only ended three years ago.

Most of the characters that Nintendo has published a game for on the Wii-U (Mario, Donkey Kong etc.), are not what I would call "forgotten".
