I suppose. Still, if you think MK8 will boost sales like it should then I'd expect Nintendo would want two boosts (one after MK8 effect starts dropping) to sustain momentum. But I guess you cant go wrong either way here (other than not dropping the price if MK8 does not having the expected effect).

I think a big 1-2 punch of price cut+Mario Kart bundle would be what it takes to get the Wii U the jump start it needs. In order for the momentum to continue it needs a steady supply of releases for the rest of the year. E3 is just a couple weeks after and they will give release dates/windows for already announced games and reveals for new games.
