Here is March 3rd of 2007. PS3 4 month on sale. Look at the difference. XBox One is 2.5 million ahead in sales compared.^^^^ Above is of July 2007. 8 months of the ps3 on sale ^^^^^
Point being, don't be so sure. So what if it has a early lead, many things start and end in way different scenario's. 360 also had a 7 million unit lead. |
I'm not saying that the X1 won't sell decently, but your comment was a quote to a guy that said the X1 was not going outsell the PS4 and I just pointed out that the situation you used as an argument against that is not really comparable as the PS3 was never lagging behind the 360 as much in weekly sales as the X1 is lagging behind the PS4. The X1 outselling the PS4 is unrealistic, the X1 doing well for itself isn't.
Also I'm just gonna ignore that PS3 to X1 comparison since there is a fuckton wrong with it, for example the PS3 was at that point available to less than 50% of the people that eventually bought one, whereas the X1 is easily available to over 80% of the people that bought a 360, also you cannot ignore how extremely frontloaded the X1s launch was and how telling it is how sharp the numbers dropped after the holidays. In the same week the PS3 sold 24k more than the X1 (at least according to Vgchartz) with being available to less than 50% of its customers, that is the important thing here, if you really want to make that comparison.
