IMO The most pertinent question is: How committed to the Wii U is Nintendo from now till they release their next console (whenever that might be)? Is Nintendo going to do the least amount it can to keep the Wii U 's "doors open" or are they going to dig deep and fight like heck to build the Wii U user base and drive sales? Are they going to make every attempt to see that more quality games are released going forward to entice new buyers to purchase the console and existing owners to buy new software?
How hard is Nintendo going to try, how committed are they to making the Wii U as successful as they can make it? To date I have not seen much of an effort from Nintendo re the WIi U nor a sense of urgency or real concern- if they start showing these things I think their base could get fired up (it does not take it much ) - If they kept the heat on they could still build some momentum-
Having said the above- Nintendo has not done anything to make me think they are going to try any harder than they have so far (I hope I am wrong) - therefore they will be lucky to get to Gamecube numbers at best
