a movie doesnt have to have a complex story to provide an amazing experience. the fact of the matter is that the story of gravity is women gets lost in space, and she finds her way back. i mean, if you want to cut every single detail, sure. for example brave heart is a who man gets his wife killed, then goes on to kill the english for freedom and revenge until they kill him. but back to gravity, its the simplicty of the story is what makes it so brilliant. it portrays a very realistic showing of the challenges found in space. a simple nudge can send you drifting and end up killing you. going from point A to point B seems almost impossible, even though you can clearly see point B and there is nothing standing in the way, but thats it, literally nothing in the way, no friction, no gravity, no control. look at cloony's death, bullock had him, but the laws of physicis were so different it was impossible for her to save him. his death was so dramatic because it was so unusual. he looked her in the eye, and slowly let go he then proceeded to talk to her normally, while actually dying, it was so unusual, which again, made it so dramatic. he slowly moved away, but that was it, even though he was drifting very slowly, it was it, he was what? 1 meter away after 10 or 15 seconds? but that meter meant an infinity of emptyness.
the simplicity of the story also mirrors the crewl simplicty of Space, its empty and silent, its simple. but its leathal. who ever says Gravitys story isnt good because it doesnt have major plot twists or an unexpected ending that blew your mind doesnt know what a good story is, gravitys story is all about how you feel, and nothing i ever seen made me feel like how gravity made me feel.

Remove special effects and we're back at a dumb character who dies because instead of helping the crew, he was dancing around the space, willing to beat some russian's space-dancing record.
And a woman with obviously mental problems after what happened to her child I keep wondering how they allowed to go to space.
Gravity isn't about how we feel, but rather, how handicapped can you look using a fire extinguisher to reach a spaceship. Of course, in the name of "drama", because she might not reach the spaceship at all.
