This is a great suggestion. Nintendo is absolutely foolish to not be capitalizing on their back catalog more. This is another one of the great things they did with Wii that they failed to do with Wii U. People forget so quickly that at the start of gen 7 Nintendo was at the forefront of online features with the Virtual Console. Being able to play all of those classic titles was amazing, and I bet it made Nintendo a tonne of money and sold a lot of systems to people who hadn't owned a Nintendo in a while.
Nintendo should offer either an amazing bundle loaded with classic titles or start a PS+ like service that gives you free titles. It could move systems or at least make them lots of money.
As an aside, I picked up a 360 when I saw a deal offering 10 games in a bundle. They weren't all good games, but it was awesome to get so many titles... it was like a party. Such offers can put a wavering consumer over the edge.
