Not everyone who bought a ps2 is a sony fan. Just look at the Wii. And why is it even relevant if it is exclusive to ps4 or if its universally acclaimed? Point is I needed two controllers to play two games on the console of my choice and had fun pkaying with my wife.

And I said most decent games on PS3/4 don't have local multiplayer, they mostly rely on online multiplayer or singleplayer. Which is true. So yes, it matter if the game is of good quality and not just some mediocre game. I hope you're not paying $570 to play some mediocre games. 

I think it's safe to say that most people that are buying a PS4 this early can be considered Sony fans. Wii is a different story. N64 and GC sold way less than the Wii, so yes the Wii sold to more than just fans because of the fad of motion control and Wii Sports. PS1 and PS2 had big userbases(so did PS3, eventually).
