Actually, no. I base my guesses alot on history, namely the 7th generation. People claimed 360 victory over PS3 when the distance was 8-9mn units sold and we all know how that one turned out. We also know that 360 was able to split the PS market almost in half and that Infamous traditionally haven´t sold close to high profile shooters on Xbox consoles. We also have preorder numbers from VGC, even more making the case for Titanfall being more successful. Add to that the huge number of PS fans both here and on youtube talking about Titanfall only tells me one thing: there is a genuine fear that Titanfall will claim alot of PS fans in America, just like 360 did during the 7th generation. THAT is what I base my guesswork on :). |
Again, weird example/analogy. Xbox360 launched like a year before ps3. Not a similar situation. Of course xb360 would be winning by a lot.
You keep talking about Titanfall and not addressing the elephant in the room: Infamous. You claimed that you can guarantee that ms fans have no interest in the game. On what exactly are you basing that? (bringing up Titanfall makes no sense) Infamous games might not have sold much, but that doesn't mean that ms fans had no interest in them. I was interested in Fable 2, but didn't buy a 360 just for that. Had it been a launch title for xbone and was considering buying either a ps4 or an xbone, I would probably by an xbone and also Fable (4).
You keep throwing irrevelant facts to the dicussion:
Claim discussed: "ms fans have no interest in Infamous".
Your arguments: 1) "Titanfall has more preorders" How is this relevant? I never said Titanfall wouldn't d better. Just that you simply can't speak for ms fans around the world.
2) "Threads/youtube comments about Titanfall" What does that have to do with infamous? Also, has it corssed your mind that the reason these threads are made is that ps4 is dominating at the moment and the only thing that can change that is Titanfall if it is successful? Does that necessarily translate into interest in playing the game itself from Sony fans? The answer is no. Same with Ms fans and the countless threads they made about GT5. They didn't care about the game itself but how it would help the ps3. Titanfall is about to stop the 70% market dominance, so of course they want to talk about it (it's a sales site after all). If infamous does well, things will remain the same. Who wants to talk about that?
