Why doesn't Nintendo advertise the Wii U?

Because Mario Kart isn't out, yet.

I thought they skipped on the ads last year so that they could fool people into thinking Wii U was new like the PS4/One. Now, I guess they're just waiting on more mainstream games. A montage of good games might help.
